Below are the most frequently asked questions from residents who have had retrofit works completed on their homes.

We will give you as much notice as possible before we carry out any work to your home. You will also receive a reminder call or text before work commences.

Some things are unique to particular homes, if the contractor needs to visit you beforehand, your RLO will book an appointment with you to inspect and discuss the proposed work.

No, we will carry out the work while you are still in your home.

Yes, you should notify your home insurer of the proposed building works.

Our contractors work from 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday,
and Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm. Exceptionally noisy work will be done
between 9:00am – 5:00pm wherever possible. If there is any need
to work outside of these hours you will be informed beforehand.

Your RLO is the best person to contact, you will find their number on the team contact card that you will be issued before works start. Your RLO will be happy to discuss any concerns with you and answer any questions you may have.

All United Infrastructure employees carry photo identification. If you are at all worried, please ask them to wait and call your RLO, who will confirm their identity.

This will be carried out by a third party accreditor, and a Lewisham Council representative to ensure the work has been carried out to the agreed standard.
